Overcast Light
- Treat the sky as a giant softbox.
- Face the subject toward the brightest part of the sky.
- Use the gold reflector gently for warmth and catchlights.
- Avoid placing the subject under dense overhead foliage without fill.
Gold Reflector
- Place 3–5 feet from the subject.
- Use a 45-degree angle from the side.
- Keep it slightly above waist level.
- Feather the light to avoid yellow skin.
Fill Flash
- Use E-TTL only when eye sockets are too dark.
- Start flash exposure compensation at -1⅓ EV.
- Leave regular exposure compensation at 0.
- The flash should be invisible in the final image.
